Kevin Durant’s Nike KD 10 Shoes
After sweeping the Blazers and Jazz in back-to-back playoff series, KD stepped on the western conference finals stage in the Nike KD 10. This version carried over the articulated, full-length Zoom Air unit from the KD 9, while improving on the ease of entry with a thinned down heel. This would typically hurt the lockdown of the shoe, but the lacing system with bungees are lowered to help the laces drape the upper for a closer fit.
The DubNation dominance continued with a series sweep of the Spurs. KD was finally back in the NBA Finals. The opponent was a repeat of sorts of the 2012 Finals with LeBron James, although both players were now on different teams. KD once looked up to LeBron, while also admiring someone else from the opposition in game 1.
Basketball Twitter would soon uncover an old KD Tweet that mentioned wanting to marry Rihanna back in 2011. KD would get the last laugh in game 1 and the series with a game 3 game-winner over LeBron.
It took a heroic LeBron performance to prevent the Warriors from going undefeated in the playoffs, but KD still hoisted the Finals MVP and Larry O'Brien trophies after a game 5 win.
Kevin would go on to wear the KD 10 for the entire 2017-18 season, and appeared to embrace the hate with colorways based off of red velvet cupcakes and snakes.
You can find the Nike KD 10 at StockX, Eastbay, Nike Store, Flight Club, Stadium Goods, and GOAT.
